Getting Started

How long does the energy audit take?

The initial assessment typically takes 2-3 days. We analyze your 12-month TNB billing history to identify demand patterns, peak periods, and savings opportunities.

Is the energy audit really free?

Yes, we provide a complimentary energy audit with no obligation. This helps us understand your needs and allows you to see potential savings before committing to any project.

What information do I need to provide?

For the initial consultation, we only need your recent TNB bills (12 months ideally) and basic facility information such as operating hours and equipment types. We'll handle the rest of the analysis.

What is the minimum project size?

We typically work with facilities that have monthly electricity bills of RM 20,000 or more. This ensures meaningful savings and reasonable payback periods for the investment.

Do you serve facilities outside of Selangor?

Yes, we serve industrial facilities throughout Peninsular Malaysia. Our team regularly works on projects in Johor, Penang, Perak, and other states.

Implementation Process

How long does installation take?

Typical projects complete within 3-5 weeks from consultation to commissioning. This includes energy audit, design, permitting, installation, and testing. Fast-track options are available for urgent requirements.

Will installation disrupt our operations?

We minimize disruption by scheduling work during off-hours when possible. Most installations require only brief switchover periods. We coordinate closely with your operations team to ensure business continuity.

What approvals are needed from TNB?

We handle all TNB coordination including connection approval and metering arrangements. For solar systems, we also manage NEM (Net Energy Metering) applications if applicable. You don't need to worry about the paperwork.

Do I need to prepare anything at my facility?

We'll assess your facility during the site visit and advise on any preparation needed. Typically, we just need access to your electrical room and a suitable location for the equipment (indoor or outdoor depending on the system).

Financing & GITA

How do I qualify for GITA tax incentive?

Malaysian-registered companies investing in qualifying green technology (including BESS and Solar PV) can apply for GITA through MIDA. You'll receive 100% capital allowance, effectively saving 24% of your investment through tax reduction. We assist with the complete application process and documentation.

What is the typical payback period?

Most industrial BESS and hybrid projects achieve payback within 3-5 years, depending on your demand charge profile and TNB tariff structure. Solar-only projects typically see 4-6 year payback. We provide detailed ROI projections during the proposal stage.

What financing options are available?

We offer multiple pathways: (1) Capital purchase for maximum GITA benefits, (2) GTFS green financing with 2% interest subsidy and 60% government guarantee, and (3) Zero-upfront lease-to-own arrangements where you pay from monthly savings.

Is there a deadline for GITA application?

The current GITA program runs until December 2025. We recommend starting your project soon to ensure you can complete installation and submit the GITA application before the deadline.

Technical Questions

How does BESS reduce my demand charges?

BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) charges during off-peak hours when electricity is cheaper, then discharges during peak demand periods. This "peak shaving" reduces your maximum demand reading, which directly lowers the demand charge portion of your TNB bill - typically 30-50% of total costs.

Can I use BESS without solar panels?

Yes, BESS works independently of solar. It's particularly effective for facilities with high demand charges, as it performs TOU (time-of-use) arbitrage using grid power. Many clients start with BESS and add solar later.

What happens during a power outage?

BESS systems can be configured to provide backup power for critical loads during grid outages. The backup duration depends on your system size and critical load requirements. We can design systems with seamless switchover for uninterrupted power.

How long do the batteries last?

Modern lithium-ion batteries used in our BESS systems are designed for 15-20 years of operation with proper management. They come with a 10-year warranty guaranteeing at least 80% capacity retention. Our AI-powered EMS optimizes charging cycles to maximize battery lifespan.

Support & Warranty

What warranties are included?

BESS systems include 10-year manufacturer warranty on batteries (with 80% capacity guarantee), 5-year inverter warranty, and 2-year workmanship warranty. Solar panels come with 25-year performance warranty. Extended warranty options are available.

What ongoing support do you provide?

All systems include 24/7 cloud monitoring with real-time alerts, remote diagnostics, and performance optimization. Our technical support team is available around the clock. Preventive maintenance visits are scheduled annually to ensure optimal performance.

How do I monitor my system's performance?

You'll have access to a cloud-based monitoring dashboard showing real-time energy flows, savings metrics, and system health. Monthly performance reports are also provided, and our team proactively alerts you to any optimization opportunities.

What if something goes wrong with the system?

Our monitoring system detects issues automatically and alerts our technical team. For most issues, we can diagnose and resolve remotely. If on-site service is needed, our technicians typically respond within 24-48 hours. All warranty repairs are covered at no additional cost.
